HOC wins 2nd place in photo contest
The HomeOwnership Center’s submission to NeighborWorks® America’s photo contest won 2nd Place and a $1,000 grant for the above National NeighborWorks® Week/Annual Graffiti Busters event photo.
NeighborWorks® America received many great photographs reflective of the NeighborWorks mission and the diversity of the people and places served. The winning photos will be featured on the NeighborWorks® web site, and other publications.
Deborah Boatright, northeast district director of NeighborWorks® America said, “NeighborWorks America congratulates The HomeOwnership Center for winning the 2nd place award in our national photo competition. This compelling image of a young man carefully painting over graffiti in his neighborhood captures the civic pride and sense of duty that is revitalizing communities across the country. The vision of NeighborWorks is that America is a nation of communities, all are proud to call home. The HomeOwnership Center and this young man are helping to make that vision a reality.”
